Karnataka becomes first state to bring back mask mandate

Karnataka became the first state in the country to make wearing of masks compulsory in public places in recent months when it announced a string of steps on Monday, a day before a nationwide drill to assess emergency preparedness for Covid management in hospitals amid rising cases in several countries, including China.
